Team Coaching
Team coaching is a collaborative process that helps your team move from a collection of talented individuals to a single, high-performing unit aligned around a common purpose. It focuses on sharpening how people communicate, make decisions, and hold each other accountable, ensuring the team can deliver consistent results even under high pressure.
Think of it like a soccer team. While a recreational team can play and have fun without coaching, to be competitive at a high level, your team needs a strong coach. Unlike individual coaching, which develops a person, team coaching develops the system. It focuses on the relationships and the shared habits that either speed a team up or slow them down, as well as aligning on clarity of roles and desired results to support your organization’s strategic direction.
With team coaching, Rachel will work with teams within your organizations to support their efficacy and bring their impact to the next level. This could include leadership teams, departmental teams, or project teams.
Team coaching is useful when your team:
- Is newly forming and needs to rapidly become productive
- Has experienced challenges and wants to work together more smoothly
- Is trying to make some complex decisions
- Needs to improve their efficiency and impact to achieve your organization’s results
- Wants to develop a more positive and healthy work culture
- Wants to increase their capacity to “coach themselves” – becoming a reflective and learning oriented team, focused on growth and improvement
“Rachel is a lovely and compassionate facilitator. She brought a good deal of care, dedication, and structure to help coach our team to be more effective. I can’t recommend her services enough.”

“Our team was coming out of a big transition and Rachel was able to help us refocus while also rebuilding trust that may have been lost when some of our programs closed. She centered her approach around us as people while also enabling us to establish stronger processes and approaches to our work. We hope to work with her again in the future.”

Why invest in team coaching?
- Alignment: Ensuring everyone is moving in the same direction towards your organizations strategic goals
- Innovation: Creating a culture where it feels safe to challenge each other and reflect on lessons learned, leading to improved results
- Productivity: Reducing the friction of silos and misunderstandings that drain energy and focus
- Your team members already bring their own passions, skills and strengths to their roles. Through coaching, they will work to more deeply apply their strengths, and to improve in areas that are critical to your business success.
- Unlike training, which is often a one-size-fits-all solution and is mostly about the acquisition of knowledge and skills, coaching is tailored to a unique team and is applied learning through regular practice, reflection and feedback.
- This is a powerful way to bring out the best in your people and achieve greater momentum in meeting key goals.
What to expect in team coaching
An organizational coaching experience begins with the coach and the team co-developing areas of focus and agreements about how to work together. The coach then designs an approach, in partnership with the team leader, to address challenges and work towards the team’s goals. Throughout the process, the coach builds the team’s capacity to embrace a reflective and learning-oriented approach after the coach’s engagement ends. The result is long-term results that enable the team to work in a smooth and inter-connected way and move towards clear goals that benefit the entire organization.
